“Okay, well call me later! And tell Mike I say hi!” Joyce says before Will quickly ushers out an “I Love you” and “Goodbye”. Will is really wishing for that rain to clear. For that happy ending to finally arrive. He looks around his empty apartment. Unfinished paintings sit in the corner of his living room, leftover dishes pile in the sink. All that everyone truly wonders is, what happened? This was supposed to be his happy ending. They defeated Vecna. He got the love of his life. But why doesn’t this feel like it? Will slowly sinks down onto his kitchen floor, his head in his hands. He thinks back to that fall. The one that ended it all. His new beginning after his nightmare of a childhood.
