We’ll figure the rest out later!” Venti wiggles the mouse from Zhongli’s hand and clicks to the next ticket booking site, this one for some stage play about Liyue’s archon and all his dead friends. “I can’t believe you went ahead and spent 5,000 mora for second-row seats. You are so lucky I love you.”
Venti has been in love with Zhongli for 10 years. According to Venti, Zhongli doesn't feel the same way. This is all good and fine, and their upcoming vacation together is most definitely not going to change a single thing.
(Oh yeah, according to Zhongli? They're dating. Obviously.)

A very wonderful take on modern Zhongven told in a whimsical, comedy-esqe tone!! I cannot recommend this fic enough if you enjoy zhongven. Though the story is indeed written with a crack-fanfic premise, the writing is still handled so wonderfully, it's a good mix of serious storytelling, funny interactions and descriptions between characters and specific situations--Emphasized by the fact that the entire story is told from Venti's point of view, which justifies the silly, cutesy storytelling since it stays in character with how Venti acts! I really enjoyed that although Venti and Zhongli's friendship was pre-established and built from the beginning of the fic, there was still a portion of the fic allotted to how they met and how Venti has been pining for years. It really set the tone for desperate, all-consuming dumb little yearning and pining and again justified how lovesick and silly Venti got over the entirety of the fic. The depiction of their domesticity, or Venti's constant misunderstandings, trying to excuse Zhongli's blatant affection because he simply couldn't comprehend the situation, and the duo's interactions with outside characters were all written SO well and was incredibly entertaining, I had to refrain from rushing because it is just SO well-written that I wanted to read all of it, but simultaneously wanted to appreciate the writing without skimming all the wonderful and funny details. Finally, the build up to the finale of the fic is wonderful, I literally couldn't wait to reach the conclusion and see how these two handled the clash of their different interpretations of their relationship, and there was something so endearing to me about the way Zhongli specifically handles learning their relationship technically wasn't an actual relationship and is described as "petulant" when trying to describe his side of the story, the ending situation overall was terribly cute and I heavily enjoyed seeing the different way these two reacted. Overall, this fic incredible! 30k words might be a daunting read, but it's more than worth it. Big, big, BIG! Recommendation to any Zhongven enjoyers !!

I cannot emphasize how WONDERFULLY Tabanca characterizes Albedo, and how their style of writing contributes to that very characterization. The fondness for scientific diction and elaborate metaphors really suits Albedo, and it well and truly feels like you are in his perspective for the entirety of the piece. In fact, the entire work (and all of Tabanca's works featuring Albedo which everyone should ALSO check out) is a loveletter to Albedo's character--and maybe it's in the worst way, since he and Lumine are undergoing a love crisis and he is actively pained, but otherwise it is a loveletter nonetheless, what was that one line? "...because what is that but love? It’s in the definition of romance probably, wanting to be burned and stamped; it’s why blood has the same cherry tint as letter wax. It seals affection up tight: a confirmation. What is love that doesn’t leave a mark, that doesn’t draw blood? That doesn’t allow you to have something in the end?" First of all beautifully written line, second of all proves my point despite being wildly out of context--His suffering endured here is a loveletter to his character and it is one I ABSOLUTELY adore. It humanizes him in a way I don't see done with other works--Here he is still objective and passive outwardly but we as readers are allowed to see the intensity of his emotions internally and it's AH! It's just heart wrenchingly good. The dynamics of this work are also so wonderful, Lumine's characterization as an immortal figure draws it all together as she struggles to cope with her own brand of affection. The dichotomy between the two of them, how Albedo handles his affection vs how she handles hers, drives the tension so well. To keep this short, this piece is just simply so wonderful, the expressions and the flow are so well-done that the sheer fact Tabana wrote this while CONCUSSED? Is absolutely astounding. I cannot recommend this fic enough and anyone interested in Albelumi should DEFINITELY give it a read.

Insanely wonderful xiaolumi piece ! The dynamic between them is very gentle and sweet, I'm always a huge sucker for love expressed tenderly and softly and this incapsulated all of that. The characterization of the duo was well-thought out and felt incredibly realistic for the two of them which made the piece doubly enjoyable to read. Not to mention the writing style is neat and flows smoothly throughout the entirety of the piece! Overall a really wonderful one shot if you are looking for something short and sweet, BIG recommendation !!

One of the sweetest portrayals of love I've read. As always, Rii's writing is AMAZING and their diction, imagery and similes pull together a wonderful and soft story about Jean, Lisa and their love for one another. Their interactions are filled with adoration and banter and it's just SO good I literally cannot press how wonderful the portrayal of genuine and unconditional affection is in this story. This fic is the embodiment of eating brown sugar and honey and I literally cannot recommend it enough.
BIG recommendation to anyone who enjoys Jeanlisa <3
