This is not a word-for-word retelling of Book 5. Events that occur the same in this retelling as they did in the originals are sometimes summarized, not explicitly described. It's about 1/3rd the length of the original story. Entire story is already written, just working on editing and posting it!

Malfoy is stuck living a double life.
He realized he wasn't just temporarily turned into a ferret; he can now shift at will and has become an animagus.
Malfoy definitely hadn't performed the ritual to become one, and he'd never heard of a spell that could turn someone into an animagus, so how could have Mad Eye Moody messed up his spell so badly?How long will he go keeping this secret to himself? How has no one figured it out by now?

Dumbledore handed Andromeda a small bundle, and she blinked down at it through blurred eyes. The face she saw was familiar. A nose identical to hers, and closest of all to her sister’s, and yet so tiny and new. The baby stirred, waking up, then laughed, changing his features to mimic hers, and a gasp escaped her lips.
“There’s no one else we can give him to,” Dumbledore said softly. “I’m sorry, Andromeda.”
Even then, his words had sounded distant, muffled by the ache in her chest. She had cooed, held him close, and let a few tears slip, knowing that in that fragile bundle lay a new life she was now the only one left to protect.

Summary
After one Ron Wesley had laughet at his name in that compartment Draco Malfoy became fixated in showing everyone that he was better than him. That included being a better friend than him, a better student, a better person and even a better brother to the boys siblings. Draco went as far as telling his father about it and both Malfoys were now in a mission to show the wizarding world they were better than two especific Wesleys.
