The most skilled and efficient of snipers are proficient in stalking, range estimation, patience, and shooting accuracy, but the most important of all is having an impeccable awareness of their surroundings. To intimately know the target's behavior, their mannerisms, their movement and how they interact with their immediate environment is a skill few successfully learn, and to use that knowledge in planning a shot is what makes an ordinary sniper into an elite one.
