“I have a proposition for you,” James said, keeping his fingers there like that slight touch was enough to keep Jason immobilized–for Jason, it was enough. “I’ll give you everything you want. I’ll make all of your wildest fucking dreams come true. I’ll make you guys the real real deal.”
Jason hated that James was making him fill in the gap. He took a sharp breath and forced himself to keep their eyes locked: “If?”
“If you spend one night with me.”
Jason’s jaw dropped; hearing it out loud was so much more jarring than that voice in the back of his mind. He quickly clamped it shut again and swallowed hard, making a quick glance over to the coffee table at his half-empty glass of water. There was no way this was happening. Shit like this didn’t happen in real life–not to guys, anyway. Definitely not guys in metal bands.
