“Do you know what Chuuya does when he and I are broken up?”
The question caught Atsushi off guard. He was too surprised not to quirk his brow and look back at him in curiosity.
“He fucks other people.” Dazai said simply.
Atsushi blinked, unsure of what he was supposed to say to that.
“Uh…good for him?” he paused, reconsidering, uncertain of what Dazai actually wanted out of his reaction, “I mean…sorry?”
Dazai continued, undeterred.
“So do you know what I do to make myself feel better?”
Atsushi looked to him expectantly.
“I fuck other people too, to get back at him.”
Companion piece to “Becoming A Thief,” in which shin soukoku are in an on-again-off-again relationship, and seek solace in other people to cope with their most recent break-up. Can be read as an independent story or together with part 1.

“He won’t take it off.” Kyouka says after the pause.
“Yeah, that's the problem.” He shoots her a dead stare and she shakes her head.
“No, Dazai doesn’t let him.”
Akutagawa feels like he’s missing vital information here. Dazai is dead, so he can’t stop Atsushi from doing anything. The confusion must show in his face because Kyouka shakes her head again.
“Atsushi sees him sometimes, when he isn’t really there.”
OR
BSD Beast fic - Atsushi secludes himself and takes off the collar, the aftermath is about as good as you would expect. Akutagawa wants to help, but has to call in some backup

Summary
Atsushi was eight years old when he was swept away from the dark and taken under a young adult’s care, fluttering with smoke and the scent of murder. The world kept turning, and a child with an ability as grand as their own turned the people who threatened them into bloody corpses—if anything was to be left of them at all. When their guardian died, it went unknown originally, but it came around to snarl in Atsushi’s face.
They had no one else but a group of people who littered blood and shame. They stayed there, never running, never turning. He was the boy who bled black and blue.
