Summary
Xiao Zhan doesn’t harbour grand delusions of this lasting forever. Yibo will be gone from Singapore in two years when he graduates. He’ll go back to Shanghai and pursue a woman whom he fell in love with when working in a bar there. He’s told Xiao Zhan all about her, even shown him photos. She’s older than he is, sophisticated, beautiful, with a husky singing voice. She shouldn’t even have glanced at Yibo. But she had. And Yibo had been irrevocably lost.
But sometimes he thinks: maybe, just maybe, maybe. Maybe he could make this a little more long-term. He could try. Yibo is worth the try.

Xiao Zhan’s still staring at him, laughter gone in his dry throat, when he hears someone yell for a reset. Yibo’s eyes are so, so dark, and he hasn’t stopped watching Xiao Zhan this whole time. Xiao Zhan swallows, nods, and pushes every dirty thought out of his head.

Sungjoo was raising his eyebrow as I shrugged my shoulders, knowing Yixuan was recording all of this.
"I think granny scolded daddy about something called a lover, so now daddy is crying, and Suo'er needs help with his math, but Suo'er doesn't want to bother daddy. So can you please help me, Mister?"
