Summary
“Mydei,” he breathed, eyes wide and glittering as his hands smoothed up Mydei’s clenching stomach. “Want to know a secret?”
Mydei bit back a groan as Phainon cupped the underside of his chest. He forced out a sharp grin, challenging where Phainon’s was goading. “I didn’t think you had any of those left.”
“This one isn’t about me. It’s actually about you.”
Mydei’s brows furrowed and, in his confusion, Phainon easily pushed him flat against the mattress. He loomed, bangs swaying over his bowed head, dark with shadows playing across the edges of his face and sharpening them into something dangerous.
Dexterous fingers unclasped the pearl bracelet from his wrist and he leaned down for a chaste kiss against Mydei’s forehead where he whispered, “You make the most beautiful pearls when you’re worked up.”
After five months of separation for their respective military campaigns, Mydei and Phainon finally reunite in Styxia.
When Mydei seeks him out, he doesn’t have any intentions beyond seeing his lover again after so long. But he’s never been good at denying Phainon.
Especially not when provoked with a very specific set of pearls around Phainon’s wrist.

Summary
There were lots of other things that made it difficult to imagine living anywhere else. Precious photos and memorabilia. His favourite snacks stocking the pantry and fridge. The plants he had affectionately named and nurtured.
The locking mechanism on the front doors.
He had permission to leave today, so the exterior door scanned the microchip in his choker and the red light flashed green with the whir of the locking system. It opened now and would open when he returned but if he attempted to leave again afterwards then the doors would remain locked.
When Mydeimos is a shining rockstar upon the stage, capturing the hearts of millions, someone has to protect him from the depraved ingrates that flock to him just the same.
It’s a role Phainon claims for himself, and Mydei always rewards him for a job well done.

"I feel bad, Cas. He keeps telling me it's fine and we should keep going all night, but he's clearly tired from all the activity before I am! It's been two weeks of this, should I tell him that we should stop?"
Castorice opens her mouth, then closes it. She takes out a notebook and a pen to scribble something down, before turning back to him.
"…What exactly are we talking about here?"
"Mydei's stamina! Apparently, it's been harder for him to keep up with me without his immortality! Do you think I've been too rough with him?!"
Phainon is met with reminders that Mydei no longer has his flaw of immortality. The realisation is more significant than he had expected.
