Summary
When Tomioka was a child he used to play in large grass fields with his friends. He remembered rolling around in those fields as a boy, carefree and happy. He spent his childhood there, picking grass out of his hair and rubbing dirt off his knees. When his parents died he was sent to live with his sister in the city. Tomioka was forced to leave behind the grass fields of his memories and start over somewhere new. Years later he was sent back to those very same fields to live with his uncle after his sisters' murder. Struggling with overlapping memories Tomioka is conflicted with the separate lives he lived.
Re-adjusting to the countryside was a difficult task for him to manage.
Reuniting with his childhood friends made it slightly easier.
Reuniting with Sanemi made it more complicated.Series

“Perhaps. It’s a persistent cough.”
Shinazugawa grunted, “No shit. It sounded like you were vomiting your lungs out at the meeting.”
“Allergies,” Tomioka offered.
“Allergies that have gone on for over a month? And gotten progressively worse?” Sanemi asked, and Giyuu could tell the Wind Pillar was looking at him now, watching him. He should’ve known Shinobu would spill.
He sighed. “Look, it’s nothing.”
“No, it’s not. Your performance today was terrible, especially as we got into the late afternoon. It’s affecting your fighting.”
“Maybe I’m out of practice.”
Sanemi took a step forward, “Cut the shit, Tomioka. What’s going on with you?”
