Captain America: The Winter Soldier AU, my take
The Avengers initiative isn't a thing. The Avengers were assembled by Tony Stark during Loki's invasion. After that, everyone went on their own way. Navigating through their own personal issues, trauma and haunted by the ghosts of their pasts. The team gets back together when whispers of The Winter Soldier emerge.I’ve had this idea in my head for a while. My goal is to include more characters into TWS AU (Yelena, Clint, Tony, Wanda), show their thoughts and feelings, flesh them out and most importantly depict how the team went from coworkers to friends. Expect plenty of flashbacks of WWII and The Red Room!
BTW as a big fan of The Pitt and bigger fan of Frank Langdon I just had to steal his character and include him in my MCU fic! Any MCU and The Pitt fans?
This is my first time posting and writing fan fiction. My head cannons for the characters may not aline with yours (I hope you will like my takes on the characters and I hope I did them justice). English isn't my first language, so I apologise for any mistakes.
All trigger warnings will be noted in the beginning notes!

Summary
Tywin appears before Ned's trial and reveals information that makes Ned immediately accept the terms to join the Lannisters against Baratheon brothers while also coping with Catelyn's death in attack by an assassin sent for Bran. One of those terms is that Ned, now a widower, marries Cerse and takes her to Winterfell while agreeing to fight on Lannister side. A book borrowed from Winterfell library by Tyrion makes Ned question everything he learned from Jon Arryn's work.
We are following the Starks and Cersei adapting to new reality. All while Winter is Coming.
It is my take on the series, which means we will also see a war for Joffrey's throne, a War for Dawn and its aftermath. You can expect other characters' POV's. But, it is loaded with Ned/Cersei romantic story. If you are interested why there must be a Stark in Winterfell, who the Night King is, who Azor Ahai is, and the War for Dawn, and you want to see GRRM's work wrapped up through three Stories, this is story for you too.
Young characters are aged up.

Summary
The Story is set after Cersei's offer to Ned in the Godswood. Just as Ned prepares to tell Robert of his bastards, he receives news that his own two sons Rickon and Bran died from a fever. His father and brother died physically in KL, and Ned dies metaphorically after a moral downfall that follows the news: he goes to Cersei's Chambers angry and in need of relief, not expecting Cersei is playing a game as well. He becomes her hostage, as he rules the 7 kingdoms in Joffrey's name as his Regent. Winter is really coming and it is soon hitting them as greater players, Lady Made of Light and the Great Other begin the final War. Lady Made of Light is raising her champions (the first of which are Jon, Robb, Daenerys, Arya and Shireen), and their mentors (amongst whom are Arthur Dayne, Barristan Selmy and Melisandre) are in search for them, before the Great Other breaks them or makes them his puppet like Euron Greyjoy. Will they join the fight or refuse the call? The first champion almost fully broken is Bran connected in mind with Bloodraven even as his body is placed in a tomb. Will be an alternative take on all 5 books.

They all dress in black clothes covering all but their fingers, necks, and heads. No chance of a soulmark accidentally showing during a sparring match. They all wear their hair in braids. One stands out. Out of the eight, the redhead is the only one looking at him without fear or determination in her eyes. She merely looks curious.
