‘’God, no fucking wonder old men won’t leave you alone, ‘’ Rafe pants into JJ’s ear at the rhythm of his thrusts. The bed is creaking all the louder, and he’s sure that if anybody else were in the house, it would be very audible multiple rooms over. Lube, sweat, and spit are mixed between them, and Rafe wonders how long he will last at this pace. It’s torture, he wants to mark JJ, claim him– it’s insanity. Instead, he leaves hickeys on JJ because this might very well be the last time he gets to have him, and anybody who dares touch the blonde will be well aware it's Rafe Cameron's property.

Summary
JJ becomes a cop to escape his unstable home life and finally get his act together. He’s also determined to take down Ward and Rafe, since the police is bribed. During his search for evidence, JJ begins to see the parallels between his and Rafe’s struggles with their fathers. His mission shifts: get Ward behind bars and help Rafe.
Things aren’t simple. JJ juggles getting his own place, a job he’s not fully committed to, keeping secrets, and staying connected with the Pogues despite the distance.
Meanwhile, Ward’s demands on Rafe grow more dangerous. Rafe starts spiraling: drugs, violence, and impulsive decisions fueled by hatred for his father. Without Sarah to ground him nor his friends to distract him, he begins to fall apart. After another brutal fight and being kicked out of the Cameron house, Rafe sets out on foot to find Sarah.
JJ being the only one of the Pogues to be able to take him in, they live together and are forced to face their pasts. Repressing the growing feelings that they have for each other is even harder when they live together now.

Summary
Rafe is against his father who thinks it's ok to stay locked up behind walls with many other people, aka the gold rush or t.g.r. During a zombie apocalypse he created.
Rafe is the leader of the safe place in the outside world while his father is the leader of the tgr. Rafe helps people and takes them in but ward lets people in when they get the privilege.
Rafe is 21, Wheezie is 15, Sarah and the Pogues are 20. And yet they have to deal with more shit than they should at their age.
Or
An apocalypse that turns into a Love and Murder story.
(It's a mix between, the maze runner, the hunger games and the walking dead i guess??)
