cracking vines, distant screeches, the very familiar sound of things going wrong.“Of course,” he muttered. “Why wouldn’t you.”
As the Demodogs lunged after Will, Vecna raised his hand.
“No, no— not him. You. All of you. Come here.”The Demodogs hesitated.
One tilted its head.
Another screamed.Vecna sighed and started running after them.
“I swear, I cannot do anything quietly in this place.”*
In this story, Will is 11 years old, and Vecna completely forgets all his evil plans and ends up babysitting him instead.
