Summary
Manon Blackbeak is dead. At least, she'd intended to be, when she finally Yielded after four centuries of suffering in Erilea became too much to bear. But instead of killing her, Yielding seems to have only transported her to an entirely different world—wherein she is the only one of her kind, but very much alive. Grieving, alone, and thoroughly confused, she is offered a bed in an underground library and a second chance at finding the will to live.
Azriel is nearing his breaking point. Having discovered his claim to a particularly wretched piece of inheritance, he needs all of the support he can get from his friends. Instead, he isolates from them, his increasingly short temper and erosive jealousy for his brothers' newfound domestic bliss hindering his ability to deliver the solutions he owes them. To make matters worse, the arrival of Illyrian women to the House of Wind threatens to re-open scars he'd long believed to be healed.
Maybe a fresh perspective would do them both some good.

It was only a matter of time before Lucien found out about Elain and Azriel’s increasingly reckless trysts. Although none of the three of them have any interest in telling anyone else what Lucien witnesses one day at the river house, word in the Night Court travels fast, and soon their mess turns into official court business. With the unrequited mating bond threatening both Lucien and Elain’s sanity at a time when Lucien’s political alliances are central to keeping the peace in Prythian, it becomes clear that some sort of agreement will have to be made.
