“Jim!” Eddie calls out as Jim exits his car and walks over in their direction. “We heard your address on the scanner. How’d the fire start?”
As Jim watches Eddie and Buck pull additional protective gear on, he wonders if it’s worth lying.
Yeah, probably not.
“I, uh, think it was probably the lab,” he says hesitantly. “The fire would have started in the garage.”
“You have a lab in your garage?” Buck gives him a strange look. “I didn’t know you were a scientist.”
Jim winces.
“Not that kind of lab.”
