“How long was I out?”
“A couple of hours,” Blake admits. “Dr. Polendina and some of his colleagues are working on getting you better, but right now there’s something about that Grimm’s acid that seems to be keeping your aura from regenerating.”
“That explains why I still feel like I’m dying,” Yang huffs, almost missing the way Blake’s face starts to twist uncomfortably before she smooths it over.
“You have a fever from falling through the ice, on top of the lingering effects of the cold on your muscular system,” she explains. “And without your aura to heal you up…”
“I’ll have to recover from this the old fashioned way,” Yang sighs. “I’ll… complain about it in a few days when I can sit up on my own.”
