Summary
It's summer, the season is over, and Eva is finding her way in NYC.
She can't remember a time when she went so long without dancing and her feet are getting itchy. That's why she's back in her old studio standing in front of the mirror in the empty classroom. She remembers what Juliette told her about always being able to come back to the barre, about the barre being home, and she thinks she might have a better idea about what she was talking about now. What was supposed to be home, her mother's apartment, didn't feel like home anymore. Her apartment in Manhattan didn't feel like home either. But this studio, even though she hasn't stepped foot in it in two years, she walks inside and feels her soul settle.

"She comes back that first summer brimming with excitement, and she seems to almost fill your tiny flat all on her own, as she raves about the boys she’s met and the lecturers and even the architecture, all the things you’d practically forgotten you missed. You’re glad she’s here though, how could you not be, you’ve missed her something fierce all the time she’s been gone, and you’ve been glad of her letters and now you’re glad she’s here, real, in your living room. You can’t live off letters alone."
