Summary
Wanderer wasn’t the easiest person to read, but Kazuha was sure that something was bothering him, and, as determined as he was to cheer him up, he still wasn’t sure what was bringing his boyfriend’s mood down so often recently. In that sense, Kazuha supposed it was a good thing that his boyfriend’s birthday came at the end of a marathon of important milestones — all the more time he had to figure it out, and to see his beloved’s adorable smile again.
Wanderer just wants Kazuha to fuck him senseless already.

And as Kazuha's muscle memory guided his body into a flawless execution of the Garyuu Bladework's finishing slash, he closed his eyes and felt his vision resonating with him, the anemo energy flowing through his body making him feel like a salmon returning to its stream of birth after a lifetime away. The sight he opened his eyes back to should not have surprised him as much as it did, and as a thousand maple leaves swirled around him in a storm so reminiscent of that night at Shakkei Pavilion where everything had gone so right, before it all went to hell - Kazuha only had one thought in his mind.
"Oh. Of course it's him. It's always been him."
