Summary
Once an unnoticeable waif, Christine has found herself courted by opera, monsters, and noblemen: which of these she preferred cannot be guessed at. She has been a Lutheran, an atheist, and a pagan; she has acted the meek virgin, the brave savage and the debauched Cleopatra for all of Paris, both onstage and off. Once humiliated for her “corrosive” voice, she charmed the world with a vocal – and moral – flexibility the likes of which have been rarely seen. When clothed in brightest silks and illuminated by the City of Light’s adoration, she ran to the darkness of the catacombs and the evil that they hid; confronted with murder, she demanded only that the perpetrator repent and kiss her humbly. She looked into the abyss and survived.
After a single electrifying season as the world's Prima Donna, Christine sank into insignificance once again; rumours have since abounded about her location, her company, and her character. The full story is presented here.

Summary
Between the events of the first and second episode, Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter are still figuring out the boundaries of their relationship - Will might feel a bit sick; Hannibal might feel reluctant to lower himself to another human's level. They don't even know who the other is - it doesn't mean that they don't want each other. Abigail is lying in a dark and clean room, many miles away from Wolf Trap, Virginia. She's not awake, she's not asleep, she's more dead than alive, and she needs to be pulled screaming back into the world.
