    Summary

From the Greek “Anathema” (something set aside), formed from the preposition “ana” (aside) plus “tithemí” (to place).

There was something wrong with Lucerys. Aemond could sense it, and the fact that Rhaenyra had kept him hidden from the world, letting everyone believe that her second son was dead, only convinced him further.

He could tell that Lucerys was afraid, scared of his presence. But even that was out of place, as if the brunette had been taught to fear Aemond.

Deciding that he would have more time to put the pieces of the puzzle together, Aemond lifted Lucerys into his arms, like a groom would carry his bride on their wedding night. His nephew had little reaction other than to cling to him with hands that seemed to never stop trembling.
