Only when Po held the completed order in his paw did he realize the hand in front of him was not an open palm demanding food. It was a long claw of a digit, pointed directly at him.
Po’s mind was entirely quiet as he took in the kung fu legend and his shaking yet unerring digit. Or—no, that wasn’t his mind. It was the crowd, struck silent some time ago.
The bowl in Po’s hand was steaming hot, fresh from the noodle cart.
…There was only one thing Po was supposed to do with fresh bowls of noodles on the job.
“Here you go, sir.” Po croak-whispered. “Enjoy.”
“Thank you,” Oogway smiled, humor and kindness shining in his eyes. The ancient turtle swapped the bowl to his other hand and continued pointing at Po.
Po blinked at the turtle, uncomprehending. “Do you… want another one?”
“No, friend,” Oogway chuckled warmly. He took a sip, smacking his mouth thoughtfully. “Actually, yes. But later, I think.”
Oogway’s staff caught Po’s extended hand and lifted it high.
“The Universe has brought us the Dragon Warrior!”
OR
Po makes it to the Dragon Warrior Tournament. Early. With the noodle cart.

“Bakugou, I won’t be around on the full mo- on the 28th,” Kirishima tells his roommate, sweating profusely. “I have, uh… My grandma died.”
Bakugou blinks at him, silent. Kirishima starts sweating more, convinced that, this time, he’s messed up for real. He’s glad his human roommate can’t smell his fear and nervousness like a werewolf would.
Unbeknownst to him, Bakugou is feeling equally distressed behind his poker face. He, too, has a very important announcement to make. He, too, is exuding a nervous smell so strong that Kirishima would have surely noticed, had he not been shrouded in his own.
“Okay,” Bakugou finally says with a nod. Too lost in his own head, he hasn’t listened to a single word Kirishima said. Otherwise, he might have realized that it’s the tenth grandma his roommate has lost this year. Instead he adds, “I won’t be here either because I have… night pony class.”
Kirishima smiles, relieved, and nods. He has no idea what Bakugou just said. They both walk away, happy with the way the interaction went, knowing that today again, their secret is safe.
