Instead, one hour-long dinner has him feeling sixteen again, instincts frayed and exposed. He’d been dangerously close to slicking up from nothing more than eye contact. It’s mortifying.
And now Harry will be around even more, helping his dad with the dresser. But Louis is determined not to let that happen again. He has a presentation to finish. He’ll stay glued to his laptop, buried in work, too busy to let Harry infiltrate his thoughts.
He drops into his nest with a soft sigh, the baby-soft comforter curling around him, protectively. He stares up at the glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling, chest rising and falling slowly.
If he can just avoid Harry, everything will be fine.
It has to be.
Or, the one where Louis comes home for the holidays to his home town of Brickwood, a small mountain town that he left years ago without looking back. His stressful job means no holiday is his own. He has a big presentation to finish and a deadline that he can't miss. But change and his family and the alpha that he was hopelessly in love with before he left threaten to ruin everything for him. But it may not be such a bad thing after all.

“What you’re thinking about, baby?” asked a sleepy voice, wrapping an arm around his waist to bring him close to a broad chest.
Louis swallowed dryly, trying to keep control of his emotions so his smell wouldn’t change.
“You.” he lied.
The Alpha groaned happily, leaning in to scent Louis heavily.
Cinnamon invaded Louis’ nostrils and he relaxed instantly.
Okay.
Yes, this was not what he had planned.
But he was happy.
It was not the same happiness he once had…
But he was happy.
“My Omega.” the man murmured against the damp skin of Louis’ neck, making him shiver.
Louis said nothing.
He couldn’t stop looking at the ring on his finger.
(He was happy.)
(He had to be.)
(He was engaged, now.)
(And it was not to Harry.)Or - Louis' life isn't what he thought it would be. But that doesn't mean it's bad, right? (Right?) He's fairly convinced he's happy with how it did turn out. Well... Until Harry Styles comes back to win him back, at least.

“I know you feel it too.” he said, voice deep and perfect and making shivers erupt all around Louis’ body.
“You also know I have an Alpha.”
Harry’s jaw clenched again.
His eyes darkened.
“You’re mine, though.”
Oh God.Or - Louis thinks he has everything : a job he loves, friends he adores and an Alpha that makes him very happy. And then someday, out of nowhere Harry Styles walks into his life. And it wouldn't be a problem... Except Harry Styles is his bloody soulmate and that makes the situation impossible.
