Summary
Renjun reached to the animal to scratch his head gently, moving slightly to his neck so he could end up scratching between its shoulder blades, the black fur under his fingers feeling soft. Renjun examined the animal for a while. It appeared to be young, but not too young, just enough to survive without a parent and outside for so long; the cat seemed to be well-kept too. So there was a chance he did have an owner.
“You don’t have a nametag, but I’m sure you’re not a stray, right?”
“Meow.” Renjun giggled, treating it as an answer. “Alright then.” He sighed, thinking about the next question.
“Are you a girl?”Silence.
“A boy?”
“Meow,” the cat answered and moved, bumping his head on Renjun's side. Renjun smiled, not quite believing he just had a conversation — in a way — with a cat.
“Alright. Thank you for your answers.”
