this is an au of 'the guy she was interested in wasn't a guy at all', a yuri manga that's recently started coming out. it's lovely, and made me think of kidomomo, and so i wrote an au of them - naturally, kido as koga, and momo as aya!
keep in mind, the premise of the manga is that aya (momo, here) mistakes koga (kido) as a boy when she first catches feelings, and so he/him pronouns refers to kido from momo's perspective.
"She did everything right in her mind, that day. Hood up, sunglasses on, baggy clothing. A sweatshirt, sweatpants. Nothing an idol would be caught dead in. While any other celebrity would worry about the vitriol of fans seeing their perfect favorite star look like a regular person, what was so strange about Momo’s fame is that no matter what, it never ceased. She never found herself in the face of scandal or hatred from the public. No matter what it was she did, they watched on, almost as if their eyes were glazed over."
