It had been more than a month in this stinking cesspool. Locked into a cell. Chained with iron, the metal cutting into his wrists and ankles. His left leg was broken, for the second time now. He’d done his best to realign the bones, but even with his enhanced healing, they may never set correctly.
Thoughts of Kaer Morhen twisted in his chest. He’d never see the crumbling keep again, or sit near the fire with the other witchers. His brothers. Eskel, gruff and kind-hearted. Lambert, whose sharp words hid a painful past. And Vesemir, the only father he’d ever known.
He wouldn’t be making it home this year.

Summary
It's been a little over a year since Bucky knocked on Amelia's door, looking for a warm, safe place to spend a night while on the run from HYDRA. Life is starting to settle into something that almost resembles normal, not counting the Avenger's ongoing attempts to destroy HYDRA, the development of a new SHIELD, and Bucky's struggles to get over his past. With Steve's continuing downward spiral and a new generation of heroes coming into play, it's getting harder and harder to keep it all together.

Summary
It's been two weeks since Bucky Barnes jumped out of the helicarrier, plunging into the cool depths of the Potomac to pull out the stranger who called him friend. Now, he stands outside a two-story home, a crumpled address held tightly in his hand. He needs a safe place to rest, if only for the night, and she looked nice in the picture. Friendly.
And, Bucky thinks, he could really use a friend right now, even if it is just for a few hours.

“You’re tall,” Geralt said slowly, brain struggling to catch up with this particular turn of events.
“Always have been, dear Witcher, but thank you for finally noticing.”
“You’re taller than me.” Geralt found himself rather unhappy about this fact. Granted, Jaskier only had an inch or two on him, but it was the principle of the thing.
“I’m taller than most folk,” Jaskier admitted with a small shrug, grinning at Geralt’s raised eyebrow in response. “Very few people realise because everyone looks small standing next to a Witcher now don’t they?"
After an unfortunate run in with a sorcerer, Geralt finds himself de-witchered.
