Summary
Sometimes Mike thinks he reads too much into things.
He knows El didn’t commission that painting. He knows Will made it for him on his own, and for some reason, Will lied to him about it. Mike knows Will used to come to him first when something was wrong. He knows Will’s eyes always seem to find his, after everything. No matter how much Mike pushes him away, never calls, obsesses over his girlfriend, or says horrible things. They always find their way back to each other.
And now Mike knows Will likes boys. And that there is someone he likes. Someone he believes isn’t like him. Someone he is now moving on from.
Who could be something more to Will? Who is so special?
Why would Mike ever want it to be him? Just because he and El never fixed things between them doesn’t mean he’s not normal, right? It's a funny thought, the idea that Mike isn't normal. As if he hasn’t spent the past two years thinking about how he might not be normal. So many thoughts and memories, buried so far back into his consciousness that it feels like he made them up. They aren’t real if he doesn’t let them be. What thoughts?
