Akihiko has been through a lot in the past, but lately, things have been getting better — boring, maybe, but better
Akihiko’s life has fallen into a pattern over the years: wake up, bathe, eat, go to school, study, come home, play a quiet game of chess with his guardian, and go to sleep. Predictable. With the occasional outing with his friends, though not too often. Sometimes, they even stay over at his place.
Akihiko doesn’t mind, he’s very content with this quiet life he has. Or at least, he thinks he is
But one night, he was wide awake and not able to go back to sleep. In a moment of restlessness, or maybe pure stupidity, he made a choice that would change everything — for better, or for worse.

Summary
Nirei Akihiko finally got his big chance, he’d been selected to act in a movie adaptation of a famous shounen-ai novel, How Does My Sun Keep Shining Brightly.
Despite its genre tag, the story is known for its beautiful world-building and deeply realistic characters. The author, Miss Juanta — a half-Japanese, half-English writer — is well known for her emotionally rich short novels, and this is one of her only two long series she’s ever written.
Akihiko has always loved Miss Juanta’s work. But now that he’s been cast, he doesn’t want to mess up. He’s prayed and worked for a chance like this — he has to shine, or it’s over. (He’s taking this way too seriously.)
And guess what? Suo’s in a bit of a pickle too.
