Interlude: The Story of Steve “Walking PR Nightmare” Rogers, and How For a Short While He Single-Handedly Destroyed the Emotional Health of Eva Laura Ortiz, His Now Ex-Publicist
(Throwback Thursday to that time in 2015 when I decided to just really lean into my incredibly self-indulgent headcanons about Steve Rogers, his politics, and kind of his whole deal. Occasionally people ask why this isn't on AO3 so here it is! Seven-ish years later. I aim to please. Eventually.)

Summary
Homeworld has never been the kindest of planets, nor gems the gentlest of beings. For two defective corundums, both are torturous juxtapositions to their potent need for each other. Through battles and stealth, Ruby and Sapphire defiantly seek an escape from oppression - and trade familiarly for the taboo act of fusion.
