Summary
Queen Miranda of Nordland agrees to a political alliance after winning the war. It's risky, but not unheard of, to wed a conquered enemy. War has taken her innocence, her husband, and many of her people. Marrying a princess to help solidify the region hardly compares.
Or will it?

Summary
Had she been watching Andrea closely, she would have noticed the young woman’s breath hitch. Or the lightest bit of pink that suddenly colored her cheeks. Or the way the tips of her fingers shook just a little where she held the hot coffee in her hand.
But no, Miranda wasn’t studying Andrea closely enough to notice any of those things.

Summary
Andy's angry that she has to waste a day outside the studio for a Runway photo shoot. Miranda Priestly herself demanded that The School of American Ballet send over their top students just for this spread. She isn't sure where this lady gets off thinking she can demand something of one of the best ballet schools in the world, especially when this is her last year at the school and every second counts if she wants to be apprenticed to the company come year's end. But then Miranda Priestly strides into the room and Andy isn't quite sure she'd be able to say no to the storm of a woman either.
