‘CJ was good at noticing things. She always had been—that was what made her such a good press secretary. Noticing things like the blood on the surgeon’s gown, the tears clinging to his waterline, and the distinctly un-surgical manner in which his hands shook.
It all confirmed to CJ that she had been right all along.
