Summary
Aki nodded, shifting in his seat to quell the nerves eating away at his stomach lining. Makima opened a program on her laptop, and turned the screen towards Aki. The page was opened to a document on what seemed to be a medical report on a disease involving an autoimmune disorder. There was no name, just information that seemed to be incomplete. Makima’s calm voice cut through the silence like a knife. “Do you know how to take care of someone when they’re sick?”
Memories of Aki taking care of Denji and Power as teenagers were brought to the forefront of Aki’s mind, and having taken care of the both of them when they were sick, he nodded. Makima steeled her gaze, leaning forward on her clasped hands.
“What about someone who’s terminally ill?”
