“Do you think Professor Hua Cheng has a crush on him?” Pei Su asked, turning to look at Banyue with a grin.
“Pei Su!” she gasped, eyes wide, as Tian Sheng crackled. She looked around, scared that Professor Hua Cheng would suddenly appear out of nowhere and hear them. She wasn’t sure what she would do if he did.
“What? Maybe he doesn’t know, you know, might think it’s professional admiration or something,” Pei Su argued, closing the tab on Xie Lian and moving over to his assignment instead.
“Checks out,” Tian Sheng agreed, and Banyue shook her head, looking away.
