Fayre is living a totally normal life in London, until her reclusive absent father (who may or may not be involved in organised crime) gets in contact with her. Due to the rising threat of violence, she is forced into hiding - against her will - in the Scottish highlands with the “help” of Rhysand, a bodyguard hired by her father. Forced proximity ensures, leaving Rhysand struggling to maintain his professionalism as Fayre plays every card she can in an attempt to see the outside world again. Including barging herself.
