    It wasn't uncommon for him to accidentally say or do something to upset his wife or daughter, although usually when such an event occurred Maddie would glare at him to express her displeasure, and Jazz would always take the opportunity to tell him in exact detail what he'd done wrong

    It must have been something pretty bad this time, because neither woman would even look him in the eye.

    “Uhh, Mr. Stark?” Peter said.
    “What is it, Spiderman? You okay?”
    “I’m fine but…I think we might have a ghost fighting on our side.”
    “Impossible.” Thor interrupted. “Ghosts hate the living.”
    “Yeah well one just saved my life and made a joke about New York’s rat problems.”
    Silence over the radio.

    Or, New York City isn't prepared for a ghostly invasion. The Avengers are finally all in the same place again. Thor and Bruce are back from space with a semi-reformed chaos god and a thousand refugees in tow. Steve and the Rogues have got their pardons and are ready to start being heroes again. But Tony isn't ready trust, neither is his new protegee Spiderman. The fractured team can't seem to come together. It's a good thing then that Danny Phantom is ready to save the day. That doesn't mean anyone is prepared for when he keeps showing up.

    He's not a superhero anymore, not really. Without the backing of the Avengers or Stark Industries, Spider-Man is more of a street-level vigilante. The police and media are just as ready to paint him as a menace as they are a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Though he has no plans to ever be unmasked again, Peter realizes that it might help to get a lawyer.

    It's a good thing he knows one.
