Aether doesn’t remember how he came to be here.
A few minutes before, he was coming back from his part-time job, trying to decide what kind of dinner he’d make for Lumine. Everything had been fine, even more than fine, Teppei had swung by before the end of his shift with another gift for him. It had been very sweet of him.
So, so sweet.
It had been a doll of one of his favorite characters from the Heiress of the lost Throne. Those little gifts had been getting more and more frequent, probably because Teppei had felt bad for Aether, who was unable to play the game. He felt so happy as he came back home, examining his new Kaeya figurine. Everything had been fine.
So how did he end up here?
How did he end up in this room full of people, all in strange uniforms, and why was he wearing the same thing as them? Why? Why was everything so slightly familiar?
