She will look at him in horror and reach over to shake her husband, but by then he will have pounced and sunk the knife into her chest, the blade sliding between her ribs with ease. He will angle it towards her heart, and she will die just as her husband wakes, with fear frozen onto her face.

Summary
The Urge growled and bared its teeth inside of him, fighting to take over and satisfy its need for blood. It took everything he had to keep himself in check, and the only reward he got was the headache pounding in his skull.
The Shadow Cursed Lands are rough on everyone, the darkness, the dread and the ever-present stench of death and decay weighing on all of them. Combine that with chronic headaches and a seemingly complete inability to take care of himself, and Cain is not having a good time.
