Summary
Stars swarm his vision, clouding up the view in front of him. His best friend hovers above him, and he dimly registers his friends and family calling his name, physically struggling with their restraints.
The eyes above him are dark brown and hatred drips from them like the tears spilling from Mike’s own. Wrong color, Mike thinks hysterically. They’re always hazel.

Summary
I leave my mum and sister in there to deal with the aftermath, to deal with my brother and her mother.
I don’t feel guilty, even as I continue to move forward. Once we’re far enough, I turn around, and not a million words nor a million streaks of gold would be able to capture the essence of the beams that emulate from my sun.

Or, Henry is going to be in the room where it happens, for the last time.

Summary
Henry’s exasperated sentence is cut off by yet another sneeze shocking him out of nowhere. He scrunches his face up but opens his eyes at the sound of Alex’s gasp. When he looks up, Alex’s eyes are shining with mirth.
“Just so you know, Hen,” Alex grins, teeth poking out. “You sneeze like a kitten.” Henry’s nose wrinkles in distaste.
“I do not,” he replies tersely, seemingly put off by the comment.
Or, Alex insists that Henry sneezes like a kitten. He does not.
