Summary
After his dwindling success as a mystery novelist, Orpheus turned to a life of a private investigator. Money was tight, and work was sparse. One day a letter arrives at Orpheus' office asking for him to investigate a missing person's case at a strange place tucked within the woods. Oletus Manor. Not only this, but the mysterious patron calls upon him in this letter by a long forgotten pen name. Intrigued by what this investigation could hold, Orpheus accepts the job, hoping to find some sort of key to the mysteries at hand. Instead he finds yet another mystery arriving at the door of the old place, a difficult man named Frederick Kreiburg, who claims to be connected to this manor.
Working together, can they solve the new mysteries that lay within Oletus Manor?

Summary
It has been years since the manor's prime, a time that Frederick has tried to keep in the past after Orpheus' sudden disappearance. However, there are always loose ends. During one of his rare trips back to that old place, Frederick is reunited with Orpheus, who has hardly any memory of his past. Together they decide to try and unravel the mysteries they have found themselves in.
This piece is an accompanying piece to A Shadow of Your Former Self. You do not need to read this fic or the other one to understand the story, as they both stand fine on their own. However, each piece offers a new perspective on the narrative! I hope that you can enjoy Frederick's perspective!

There are many vials tucked away in the cabinet in the secret basement of the manor, and Orpheus knows them well. Stealing time away for himself, he helps himself to Erotes, a drug that causes overpowering lust.
Frederick discovered the trapdoor to the basement and was curious as to where it led. The timing of his exploration leads to a secret bargain.
