The humidity carried in by the Potomac cast a thin sheen of glistening sweat over his exposed torso, the overhead light catching on the assortment of faded pink battlescars littering his back. He didn't even notice you there initially. Not through the angsty layered vocals of Jerry and Layne. But, clearly, he felt somebody's eyes on him; because he only allowed you a few more moments of silent admiration before his head was turning to look at you over his shoulder. You, tugging anxiously at your lower lip, in nothing but a pale babydoll slip and fuzzy socks slouched unevenly on your legs. Christ, you looked just like a little angel. Delicate around the edges in a way he hadn't seen in years.
