Summary
Sanji heals faster than normal humans do. His skin may tear and bruise and bleed, but it does not scar. He breaks easy but he mends quick, to the point where starving for months on a rock doesn’t leave any lasting effects anywhere besides his mind. Countless little injuries on his fingers disappear as fast as they form, his hands unmarred despite his many clumsy failures.
He doesn’t scar. So the day he does, he doesn’t know how to react.

“Anyway,” Zoro continued amid Sanji’s silence, “I’m not going to die.”
Sanji made a scoffing sound. “You can’t just decide that, asshole,” he said, tying off the thread. He trailed his fingertips over the jagged seam, checking for any imperfections. “You can’t cheat death.”
“We’ll see.”
To Sanji, Zoro is an enigma. An infuriating one, but one he is drawn to nonetheless. For as much self-assurance Zoro appears to have, Sanji has about as much self-doubt. If he can just understand what goes on inside that mossy head of his, maybe he can figure a few things out about himself as well.
Discovering that there might be something other than rivalry brewing between them, is something Sanji isn't quite prepared for.
(Rated M for explicit language, canon-typical violence and sexual content for later chapters).

Summary
A curtain of silence fell upon them in the dimly lit balcony. Sanji kept watching the fireworks, while Zoro sipped his sake. Occasionally, the two would glance at each other, averting their eyes as soon as they met. While Sanji usually didn’t mind the grumpy swordsman’s company, tonight was different for both of them.
They hadn’t been ‘alone’ like this since Sanji came back to the crew.

Sanji and Zoro take some time away from the festivities to talk about certain events. Eventually, they do more than talking.

Zoro is in Sanji’s body when Big Mom’s invitation catches up with him. That means Sanji doesn’t have to face Germa, the wedding, or the explosive cuffs himself. It also means Zoro has Sanji’s name, Sanji’s hands, Sanji’s past, and no intention of marrying anyone.
