‘I do not believe my request will trouble you, sir.’ Though not actively blushing, grimacing, or otherwise expressing embarrassment, he nevertheless appeared rather sheepish, and hesitated before putting his request into speech. ‘I would appreciate it very much if you would put this back on.’ As he spoke, to my great surprise, he replaced the bundle of scarlet into my willing arms.
‘Could you repeat that, Jeeves? It sounded as if you asked me to replace this cummerbund upon my person.’
A dignified sort of cough escaped him. ‘That is correct, sir.’

Whatever it was that was waiting to give inside Aziraphale’s chest snapped like a twig. He didn’t even like French food.
“Crowley,” Aziraphale said, setting down his book with an argumentative slap. “You don’t even like French food.”
