The last thing she needed was for Mrs. Gersen to notice her crying. Because she knew what would happen then.
"Yasmin?! Why are you crying?", her teacher would ask her in front of the entire class like a bumbling idiot.
"I don't know, maybe because I've had to listen to all the ways I suck for about an hour by now", Yaz would not say.
Everyone would stare at her, at the tears in her eyes, at Izzy's work. It would be the final grand humiliation.
The cherry on top so to speak, for Izzy and her friends. And not to be melodramatic or anything but Yaz thinks she'd probably die in that very moment.School is never easy. But it's especially not easy when you have your favourite bullies sitting right behind you in class.

Summary
Sherlock knows that he is not particularly lovable. He has seen this lack of lovableness in the cold eyes of his brother, in the angry eyes of the Scotland Yard detectives and police officers as he ruthlessly deducts uncomfortable, embarrassing, truthful things about their lives as a way to cope with how they stare at him. As if he were a circus sideshow. That’s it though isn’t it? He feels their anger and their envy and their fear of him, and so he bites back with logic, with brutal honesty. By uncovering things about the people around him that they would rather keep hidden. By telling them truths they didn’t want to know. He can still remember the look on Lestrade’s face on Christmas Eve, hearing that his wife was still having an affair. How casually and coldly Sherlock had let that fact slip from his lips, on such a cheery occasion.
He could still hear Molly’s hurt voice.
