Summary
The first time his assigned bodyguard unmasks in front of him, Kaveh chokes on his water.
Alhaitham shoots him a dry look as he dusts off the sand caught in the fabric. “Is even drinking quietly beyond you?”
His eyes are beautiful. Hooded, long-lashed, catching the campfire in furls of teal and citrus — sunlit stained glass. Despite their sharp gaze, they soften the firm set of his lips and jaw and, well, the rest of him.The Akademiya assigns bodyguards to students traveling alone in the desert. Alhaitham is meant to protect from typical dangers — the beasts, the cliffs, the temperature. Not plants that leave his charge begging for his touch.

Prior to his situation, the ginger man had made Zhongli his signature dish - a bowl with freshly caught octopus and other Snezhnayan ingredients alongside. It's probably still sitting on the dinner table in their house right now, abandoned in Zhongli's heat of the moment decision to pull Childe by his cape all the way to their bedroom."
or:
Childe takes the liberty of making Zhongli seafood, unknowing of the reason why Zhongli hates it so much. So, Zhongli shows him.
