Summary
“Another one.” Alhaitham says.
“What?” Kaveh asks amusedly, his tone suggesting that he heard exactly what Alhaitham said but he couldn’t resist the temptation to tease.
“Another birthday kiss. Please.” The last word is tacked on as an afterthought, in the hope that good manners will make Kaveh feel more inclined to kiss Alhaitham again.
Kaveh laughs again, indulgently this time with a knowing look in his eyes like he can read Alhaitham’s mind. “My junior is so greedy!”

Summary
“Going somewhere?” Alhaitham questions in a lazy drawl. He’s leaning against the doorframe with crossed arms and raised brows.
“No.” Kaveh’s reply comes too quickly to be the truth.
Alhaitham sees right through him and pointedly glances between the shirt crumpled in Kaveh’s hands and the open suitcase laying by his feet.
Kaveh shuts his eyes and prays for Celestia to strike him down where he stands.
This is exactly what he’d been trying to avoid.

Alhaitham wrapped his hand around Kaveh’s pale throat and squeezed lightly, if only to snuff out the spark of defiance still flickering in those fiery red eyes. So furious and unafraid in the face of danger—it was this exact form of foolish heroism that Alhaitham detested.
“So pretty when you blush little bird,” The Harbinger slowly dragged his thumb across the sharp line of Kaveh’s jaw as he drawled. “And so much sweeter when your mouth is too full to speak.”
Or: Alhaitham is the Second Fatui Harbinger and returns to Snezhnaya with both the Dendro Archon’s gnosis and a certain blond architect in tow. If only he had the courtesy to share this information with Kaveh before abducting him and subsequently upending his entire life. Oops?
