Summary
He startles and automatically reaches to his left pulling out the tape; tossing it toward Eddie who catches it and once again hunches downward toward the storage unit. “Why is school calling you?” Chim asks Buck.
“Uh, they didn’t. They called Eddie but Eddie left his phone upstairs. I saw School was calling and answered it.”
Not appreciating Buck’s tone of voice, as though Chim was stupid, he adds, “But, why?”

Summary
“You’re beautiful,” Oliver says softly.
Ryan’s cheeks flush bright red as he chuckles, ducking his head against Oliver’s shoulder in embarrassment “Sweet talker. You already got me in bed, you know.”
One of Oliver’s hands drifts under the blankets, creeping ever so slowly up the inside of Ryan’s thigh. “Maybe I just like seeing you blush.”

Summary
“Would you still like me if I was a worm?”
“Buck, it’s one in the morning.” Eddie grumbled out.
“And you’re awake, aren’t you? So, answer the question.”
Maybe it was a stupid question. It was, in fact, the catalyst for the end of his relationship earlier, but it was 1AM. Nothing was serious after 1AM.

Summary
He thinks about it, and then he doesn’t think about it because there’s no time to think about it. And he’s only half thinking about it when they’re in the locker room at the end of shift, and he asks if Buck wants to do something that evening. And Buck, honest to God, says to him, “Ah, uh, I have a date.”
It’s said with a head duck and a flutter of eyelashes, that thing Buck does a lot when he’s embarrassed or being coy that makes Eddie’s stomach swoop and plummet like a Tilt-A-Whirl. He sounds almost…sheepish.
But Eddie’s not crazy. Buck and Tommy broke up not even three weeks ago, seriously, unless it was a madness-induced hallucination and not something that actually happened in real life.
“Huh,” Eddie says. He doesn’t mean to say huh, but that’s what happens anyway.
Christopher has been in Texas for too long, and Buck gets back on the hamster wheel. Eddie considers some things.

Summary
But going alone is like—it’s a death knell. And Buck is trying, he really is, but it’s Halloween. You can’t break up with someone on Halloween.
He spies Eddie walking up the stairs, totally focused on his phone. Eddie, who is also planless for the weekend barring some natural disaster or miracle of the prodigal son returning home. Eddie, who had gleefully been the Tubbs to Buck’s Crockett—because Buck is totally Crockett, okay?—without complaint. Eddie, who likes dressing up for Halloween.
or: Buck wants to do a couples’ costume, and Tommy doesn’t want to do it. Eddie volunteers.
