For a split second, Amelia forgot about Callie. Forgot that Arizona already had someone. That there was an entire relationship standing between her and whatever 'this' was supposed to be. The reality of your "soulmate" being madly in love with someone else makes her feel like an idiot.
And to make matters worse, Arizona doesn't even believe in soulmates. She brushed the whole thing off like it was nothing - not when Amelia felt everything, not when she's the only one completely overwhelmed by it.
It doesn't seem fair that it meant so little to Arizona.

Days eventually turned into weeks — then months. Until Arizona had finally come to full terms that they were really over and that she’d never come back. The ring would still be where it had always been, deep in her pocket.
Until she stopped carrying it with her one day and thought to herself that no one could ever come close to Amelia.

Arizona pauses, her finger in between her lips as she studies Amelia. There’s no teasing in her voice, no smirk playing on her lips, just quiet certainty.
For a moment, Arizona looks as if she has forgotten how to breathe. Maybe she’s used to Amelia deflecting with sarcasm, turning everything into a joke, but this? This is different.
“You’re serious,” Arizona says, more of a realization than a question.
Amelia shrugs, a small smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. “Yeah. I am.”

Summary
Arizona sees Amelia smiling back from afar, and the look in her eyes feels eerily familiar. It's the look she gives when she seems genuinely interested.
Having known and loved her for so long, and as someone who has watched from the sidelines, she recognizes that same look from when she was with Owen, and briefly when she talked about Link. Now, she has to relive it all over again with someone else.
Over and over again, as if going through it more than once wasn't enough, Arizona finds herself asking once more, "Why not me?"
