“This has to be some kind of conflict of interest,” Regulus says, his lip curling at James.
James shrugs, the idiot, “I don’t know.” His voice is weary, tired. He even looks tired, even though he’s been sleeping all day. In fact, he looks more than just a bit tired. There are deep, dark circles under his eyes, his hair is sticking up– and not in the endearing way it usually is– but simply out of control.
He’s thinner than he used to be, and his brown skin is sallow. Regulus’ eyes catch on the two massive bandages wrapping around his arms.
Jesus fuck.
Regulus had no idea James was… no. He couldn’t do this right now. He was here (and had been for some time now) to figure his own shit out. Not to worry about James’ suicidal ideations. Not to mention, he hated James. So this whole thing? It wasn’t going to work.

"So should we start blocking off time in our calendar for dance lessons with Coach Diaz?"
Eddie knows Karen means it as a joke, but the combination of the wine in his system and the joy in his gut make it feel serious, "Yes."
"Wait, really?" Hen asks.
"If she wants to dance, I'll teach her to dance. We had fun today," Eddie finishes his glass and notices he's probably at the point where he's drunk enough to talk about the Buck thing.
"You don't have to do that Eddie. I'm sure we could pay for lessons somewhere," Karen offers.
"Or we could pay you," Hen offers.
"I have an idea for that actually," alright, Eddie, be brave, "I give Mara dance lessons and you both give me gay lessons."

When Mara becomes obsessed with ballroom dance Eddie becomes her teacher. Along the way he realizes he's in love with Buck, starts receiving "gay lessons" from Hen and Karen, and forms a ragtag dance academy. What could possibly go wrong?

Eddie was wearing a cowboy hat. Like a real cowboy hat. A cowboy hat that he probably got in Texas. And goddamn did that hat make Eddie look hotter than normal. Buck knew the Cowboy Hat rule. He didn’t think that he could restrain himself for a whole shift.
