Summary
Siffrin craves pain. Not the thoughtless, uncaring crush of a boulder or the mindless sting of a Sadness tearing him apart. No, he needs something deliberate. A person on the other end of the pain, enjoying the show as his body is torn apart.
Loop refuses their plea.
Siffrin goes to the only other person in the loops who might be willing to give them what they want. What they find instead is a terrible, unrelenting gentleness, and a different way of dismantling them entirely.

Summary
Siffrin doesn't remember being wished into existence. As far as he knows, he and Loop washed up together on Vaugarde's shores, and he simply forgot those early days over time. The fact that he's a younger copy of Loop, created out of Loop's desperate wish for a reason to exist, is something Loop has tried to keep from him. It's much safer in this treacherous noble household to lie and say that they're siblings. If Siffrin himself believes it, that only makes it more likely that the truth will never come to light.
But the lie doesn't stop Siffrin's curiosity about Loop's body. It certainly doesn't stop their curiosity about his.
They shouldn't do this. But Loop has never been able to deny their stardust what they want.

Summary
A haunting can take many forms -- the specter of a past, clinging to the present the more its host refuses to let it go. A house sinking slowly into the clay it was built on. A secret lodged into a scarred chest or kept between intertwined hands. A question that will never be answered.
A ghost wails at the top of House Insulaire, and not a soul answers its cries. The impossible shade it's soaked in seeps silently into the ground.
Loop keeps a secret. Siffrin plays their part. Isabeau finds himself trapped in a dangerous game. The past refuses to loosen its grip.
The ancient word "crimson" has a definition. It may take a haunting to unbury it once more.
