Arthur exclaims with excitement, sliding his now complete Math homework across the table for Charles to do a final check. Their fingers touch ever so slightly as Charles grabs the notebook from Arthur, sending shivers down his spine. Charles eyes dart over it quickly, humming approvingly.
,,Yeah, you did it! You did amazing.''
He smiles at Arthur, handing him back his notebook and holding eye contact. Their fingers touch once again but now, instead of quickly pulling their hands away again, they stay like this. Suddenly,everything seems to have gone quiet. As if the world had stopped spinning, for them to stay in this somehow intimate moment forever. It feels like a mutual understanding that they would both give just about anything to hold each other, even in the slightest way possible.
But they are just friends, right?
