Summary
Wylan Van Eck joins the Dregs as a last resort after washing up on the shores of Brekker’s territory. Several events ensue.
[Jesper smiled at Wylan’s hands wrapped around Jesper’s wrist, and then asked, “What, can’t keep up?” with the most devilish grin Wylan had ever seen.
“You were doing that on purpose!” Wylan exclaimed, partially pouting and partially wanting to laugh for the first time in too long.
“I have long legs, but not that long. I was curious when you would say something.” Jesper laughed at Wylan’s face of incredulity while mercifully slowing his pace for the ex-merchling.
Wylan crossed his arms and huffed to express frustration, but his performance was lost on Jesper when the huff came out of smiling lips.]
