Missy has been Katsuki’s best friend since he was eleven.

They looked at plenty of cats, but Katsuki didn’t really connect with most of them — until they came across an enclosure with a lone bobtail kitten sitting in the corner. What caught Katsuki’s attention most is that she was the only one on her own.
He had just kind of watched her, for a while, until she noticed him and came over to investigate. He offered her his hand to sniff, and she did, giving his knuckles a soft headbutt when she was done.
That was the moment Katuski knew he had found his cat.

He wanted to believe that it was temporary. That in a month or so, she’d be back to normal and he could go back to doting on her with Eijirou and playing with her and she’d live five more years or more so he could actually have the time to prepare to say goodbye.
But he’s not stupid.
When she stopped getting up from her spot in the sun, he knew it was time to let her go.

Summary
Izuku honestly wasn’t aware of the fanfics for a while after they were first discovered. Nobody told him about them, after all — both Uraraka and Iida were under the impression that the other had told him, Yaomomo apparently assumed that someone else would tell him, and Asui admitted that she hadn’t even thought about it.
He finally found out about them when he overheard Kaminari and Mina discussing them (or, rather, laughing at them). He didn’t actually get to ask about it, though — Mina just noticed him hovering awkwardly and filled him in on the situation.

It’s through the fics about himself that he finds the ‘Todoroki Shouto | Shouto/Midoriya Izuku | Deku’ tag. He wasn’t looking for ship fics — the thought honestly hadn’t occurred to him — but he’s figured out by this point what the difference is between ship tags and platonic tags, so the difference immediately sticks out to him.
Now, Izuku’s never really thought a whole lot about relationships in general. He’s only liked a handful of people, and never very intensely.
Until Todoroki.

Summary
Shouto’s inclusion in “Girls’ Night” came about when he admitted to Ochako that he didn’t really know how to hang out with the other guys in their class — or anyone, really, but she’d always been the easiest to talk to. She responded by inviting him to join in on the girls’ biweekly tradition of face masks, snacks, gossipping, and finding the weirdest corners of the internet they could.
That’s why he was there when she originally found the fanfictions about their class.

After a moment’s hesitation, he opens the search bar and types in a tag he’s not even sure exists:
‘Todoroki Shouto | Shouto/Midoriya Izuku | Deku’.
He shuts his eyes as he hits ‘search’, not really mentally or emotionally prepared to see what the outcome of this insane thought is, but after a few seconds and a stabilizing deep breath, he opens his eyes again — and finds himself staring at possibly the most insane sentence he’s ever read in his life.
Because there, right at the top of the page, it says in bold font: ‘584 works under Todoroki Shouto | Shouto/Midoriya Izuku | Deku’.
He’s not sure how to feel about that.

Tsuyu has always been what adults like to call ‘observant’.
In reality, she just has a hard time looking at a single thing for more than a couple minutes, so she spends more time looking around at other things than most people do. And so, she sees things other people don’t.

It’s just easier for now if everyone assumes she’s neurotypical like them.
Well, most of them. It’s not like Kirishima’s ADHD is a secret — he’s pretty open about it, actually. But as far as she knows, everyone else is NT.
She tries to take things like that at face value. She knows making assumptions about people’s mental states is rude. So she just accepts that out of their class of 20, only she and Kirishima are Different.
Or, she does at first. But it’s like people say — she’s observant. She picks up on things other people don’t notice.

Did you know there’s an entire tag for you and Bakubabe being in a relationship? I guess you’re not the only one who wants you guys to kiss ;P
Eijirou hates admitting it, but he’s intrigued. Sure, he’s written off the idea of reading about himself, but those ones were all solo. Maybe it’ll be different if Bakugou is also in the picture. And maybe, just maybe, supplementing other people’s ideas will give Eijirou’s overactive imagination a break from fantasizing about Bakugou twenty-four-seven.
Against his better judgement, he asks Mina to send him the tag link.

He hesitates before actually clicking the link. It feels like something he can't come back from if he does it. Something major and life-altering and permanent.
He clicks the link.
He's seen AO3 pages before, so that's not new, but the big ‘632 works under Kirishima Eijirou | Red Riot/Bakugou Katsuki | Dynamight’ header hits him like an oncoming train.
There are 632 stories that real people have written about him and Bakugou being in love with each other. He almost can't believe it.
But it's there. Right in front of him.
